Here is a very special prayer for all children who are abused physically and sexually. Let us beg our Lord for healing and protection of these little ones.

Divine Mercy! I beg of You to protect all those helpless children who are physically and sexually abused, especially by those whose duty it is to guide and protect them on earth. Send Your enveloping cloak of Mercy and wrap it around those poor children and enfold them in Your love and protection. Send forth Your rays of blood and water to cleanse and renew the souls of those who perpetrate these vile acts of satan. Let there be a way to get Your powerful Image of Divine Mercy into the homes of these sad families, from where graces will flow as You promise, and they shall be renewed. O Blood and Water which gushed from the heart of Jesus as a fount of Mercy for us, we trust in You. Amen

Saint Gerard Majella is the Patron & Protector of Expectant Mothers. The Feast of Saint Gerard is celebrated on October 16. Here is a prayer to St. Gerard which can be used by expectant mothers for a healthy & safe delivery.

O great Saint Gerard, beloved servant of Jesus Christ, perfect imitator of thy meek and humble Savior, and devoted child of the Mother of God, enkindle within my heart one spark of that heavenly fire of charity which glowed in thee and made thee a seraph of love.

O glorious Saint Gerard, because when falsely accused of crime, thou didst bear, like thy Divine Master, without murmur or complaint, the calumnies of wicked men, thou hast been raised up by God as the patron and protector of expectant mothers. Preserve me from danger and from the excessive pains accompanying childbirth, and shield the child which I now carry, that it may see the light of day and receive the lustrial waters of baptism, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

La Leche is the Spanish for “the milk”. Our Lady of La Leche is the first shrine dedicated to Our Blessed Mother in the United States. The history of the devotion to the Mother of Jesus as Our Lady of La Leche may have roots in the 4th Century Milk Grotto at Bethlehem. Its centerpiece is the Blessed Virgin nursing the Infant Jesus. Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. Here is a daily family prayer for all of us. Let us submit ourselves and our families to the divine will of our Heavenly Father.

O God of goodness and mercy, to Thy fatherly guidance we commend our family, our household and all our belongings. We commit all to Thy love and keeping.

Keep far from us, above all else, the blemish of sin, and do Thou alone reign in our midst by Thy law, by Thy most holy love and by the exercise of every Christian virtue. Let each one of us obey Thee, love Thee and set ourselves to follow by example the life of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

Protect us and our house from all evils and misfortunes, but grant that we may be ever resigned to Thy Divine Will even in the sorrows which it shall please Thee to send us. Finally, give unto all of us the grace to live in perfect harmony and in the fullness of love toward our neighbor. Grant that every one of us may deserve by holy life the comfort of Thy holy Sacraments at the hour of death. O Jesus, bless us and protect us. Amen.

Here is a beautiful Prayer of “Consecration of the Family to the Sacred Heart of Jesus”. It is good to include this Prayer as part of your Daily Family Prayer.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, you have revealed your desire to reign in every Christian family. Today, we come to ask that you take complete possession of our home. We greatly desire that through sincere fidelity to you, our home becomes fragrant with love, peace and joy.

Keep far from us all that can turn us away from You. Drain off feelings of strife; replace our bitterness with forgiveness; do not allow resentments and hurts to dictate what we rule or say. May the flame of sincere and understanding love burn brighter each day thorough our frequent particiaption of the Eucharist and the habit of daily family prayer.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, preside over all our gatherings and events; be with us in all our joys and sorrows. If any of us should stray away from you and from us, may your merciful heart bring him or her back to obedience to You and to union with us. May each member of our family be a committed Christian, faithful to the way of life you have taught by word and example.

And, at the end, when death comes to take any one of us away, may we accept it with submission and with joyful hope in the resurrection and the final reunion of our family in heaven, where you own hand will wipe away every tear from our eyes.

Mary, Mother of Jesus, be the mother of this family. St. Joseph, take care of each member of this family as you looked after the Holy Family of Nazareth.

May the grace and blessing of the Sacred Heart of Jesus be on us; the peace of the Sacred Heart envelope us; the merits of the Sacred Heart plead for us; the love of the Sacred Heart strengthen us; the zeal of the Sacred Heart animate us; the virtues of the Sacred Heart shine forth in our words and deeds; and may the beatific vision of the Sacred heart be our eternal joy.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, be King of our home. In our home you be glorified today and forever. amen.

Our Lord dictated the following prayer to St. Gertrude to release 1000 Souls from purgatory each time it is said. St Gertrude showed “tender sympathy towards the souls in purgatory” and urged prayers for them. She is therefore invoked for souls in purgatory. Let us recite this powerful prayer whenever possible for all the precious souls who long to be united with Almighty God.

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus Christ, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the Universal Church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.

Here is a wonderful prayer for all babies who are conceived and in their mother’s womb. This powerful prayer will protect the baby all through the nine months in the mother’s womb.

O God of all creation,
Nurture and protect tiny children and keep them safe in the sanctuary of their mother’s womb.
As You so wondrously form their hearts and minds and lungs and souls, so strengthen our will to lovingly nurture and protect them.
Give us the eyes to see them as our brothers and sisters, the minds to welcome them as our own, and the faith to defend them as Your children.
We ask this through the intercession of Mary, our Blessed Mother, and the mother of all the little ones, through Christ, Your Son, our Lord. Amen.

All-loving God, we give you thanks and praise for mothers young and old.

We pray for young mothers, who give life and count toes and tend to our every need; May they be blessed with patience and tenderness to care for their families and themselves with great joy.

We pray for our own mothers who have nurtured and cared for us; May they continue to guide us in strong and gentle ways.

We remember mothers who are separated from their children because of war, poverty, or conflict; May they feel the loving embrace of our God who wipes every tear away.

We pray for women who are not mothers but still love and shape us with motherly care and compassion.

We remember mothers. grandmothers, and great-grandmothers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory and nourish us with their love. Amen.

O Lord, our Creator, you imposed a duty on all human beings to work together to build up the world. Help us to develop the earth by the work of  our hands and with the aid of technology, in order that it may bear fruit and become a dwelling place worthy of the whole human family. When we do this or consciously take part in the life of social groups, we are carrying out your plan manifested at the beginning of time that we should subdue the earth, perfect creation, and develop ourselves. Let us realize that we are also obeying Christ’s command to place ourselves at the service of others in bringing forth a more human world, through your Son Jesus Christ in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Lord, source of eternal life and truth, give to your shepherd (Name the Pope) a spirit of courage and right judgement, a spirit of knowledge and love. By governing with fidelity those entrusted to his care, may he, as successor to the apostle Peter and vicar of Christ, build your Church into a sacrament of unity, love and peace for all the world. Amen
