Oh lord, please illuminate my concentration and help me (and medical colleagues like myself) to overcome stress, fear and anxiety during intense pressure ridden examinations, so that I may graduate from medical school, pass my board examinations, and work in the service to help heal my brothers and sisters of humanity, especially the poorest and the most sick in our society and in the developing world, to whom I feel called to serve with a practice of compassion and ethical conduct.

[...] Most charming and saintly Physician, you were animated by the heavenly Spirit of love. In faithfully detailing the humanity of Jesus, you also showed his divinity and his genuine compassion for all human beings. Inspire our physicians with your professionalism. And with divine compassion for their patients, enable them to cure the ills of both body and spirit that afflict so many of our day. Amen. (Source) [...]
