Prayer for your Parents

Print Friendly

Here is a daily prayer for your parents. Your parents may be near or far, but a prayer is the least you can do for them. All parents love their children and sacrifice their lives for their children. As we grow up and leave our parents to lead our own lives, we conveniently push them down to the bottom of our Priority List. Wherever you are, this powerful prayer for your parents will give them peace and happiness.

“Lord, I surrender to you my family. Lord Jesus, I pray for my parents. Though you blessed them abundantly, today they are in need of your help. Give my parents joy and strength. Fill them with your strengthening presence. Lord, give them real thirst and hunger for the Holy Spirit and for the Word of God. Give them health in spirit, soul and body.

Even though they may feel that all the trouble they took for their children are being wasted, help them to see the great reward waiting for them in Heaven. Help my parents to forgive themselves and forgive everyone else.

Even though as parents they may have failed to fulfil their duites, Lord, set them free from sadness and sorrow, regrets and sense of guilt. Jesus fill them with your Holy Spirit. Thank you Jesus. Amen”

I began to have more quarrel with my mother after living away from my parents for 2 years for my school. I only want my parents to be happy even if they think they are not seeing the best of me, especially, spiritually. And that my parents are living separate lives in my home. I hope one day they will see God’s grace in their own heart’s desire. I do pray for them daily, especially, my mother who has not acquired a mother’s role; other than making her children be her friend. I need them to be happy for themselves and for me. Thank you Father for leading me into this website.

I’m sad for what my family especially my parents who are facing a huge amount of debt from being deceived from a fake transaction and now we don’t even have money to even pay for their medical bills. In spite of hardship that they had for me i wasn’t able to do anything to at least ease their pain. I cant explain the pain that i bear in me seeing them crying.

To whomever read this i plead to you please pray for us especially for my mom and dad. I know that people who bothered to read this have got good heart.

Please pray for my parents – my father is an alcoholic and is causing great anguish to my mother. My mother and I do not have a very good relationship. Please pray it might improve. Please those that read this – I know you love your own parents – please pray for mine. My brother has hurt them both very badly and they are heart broken. I am so grateful for your prayers. Sacred Heart of Jesus I place all my trust in Thee.
