Prayer of the Unemployed
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, you wanted all who are weary to come to you for support. Lord, I am worn out by my inability to find wage-earning work. Day after day, my worry and fear grow as the rejections of my applications mount. I am able and willing to work but I cannot find a worthwhile job. Please help me to obtain one soon so that I can support myself and my family in a decent way.
However, if it is your will that I wait longer, enable me to worry less and to be able to take advantage of the time available to get closer to you. Let me realize that there are other ways to bring about your kingdom on earth besides salaried work. Help me to make use of them for the time being so that I may continue to grow as a person for your greater glory. Amen

Please pray for me, my sister, her husband (my brother-in-law), my friends: Mary, Shereen, Sandra, Joanne and all those of my parish that are unemployed and desperately looking for jobs. I especially ask for prayers for my friend, Mary who has been out of work for 3 months and has an invalid husband who has been out of work because of his disability. She is very depressed. Also, prayers for myself as I am financially tapped out. I can’t pay my co-op maintenance and will be going to apply for food stamps in the hopes that I qualify. I do have my faith and I do believe Our Lord is taking care of all of us but, at times, it can be a little disheartening. Thank you all and God bless you.

Please pray for me to be offered a great job soon.
I have been out of work for almost 6 months.
I have the qualifications, just not a college degree, so I know that is a negative in getting a good job these days.
I just need someone to trust in me and my many abilities, without the diploma.
I was harassed in many ways by my previous boss, so I left. I loved the job, I just couldn’t deal with how he treated me any longer.
Please pray that I get another great job like that soon, but, with a respectful boss.
I’m a single mother with bills piling up and collectors now calling.
Please pray for me as I will pray for you my brothers and sisters.

Please pray for my husband, Chris to find a new job. He is changing careers and his contract is ending in May. He is applying online every day to job openings and would like for his resume to be noticed and to get calls for interviews. We are praying today and need to keep our patience and our faith strong!

Please pray for me to get a job in teaching…I just come home from a horrible interview…I believe that God has given me the gifts to be a teacher…I prayed before I went to this interview and I believe God is saying that this job is not for me…please pray that I get another chance for an interview…thanks

Please pray for my husband Samuel to find a new job, where he will be happy. Please help him to be strong and always remeber that all great things are possible if he believes. He is applying via papers and I am also helping him to get a perfect job. Lord, touch him with your hand. Please help him Oh Mighty Lord.We are stuggling a lot and this cause so much hertache for him. I know that as I am writing this he will receive your blessings my Lord. Please pray that I get a good job. I have been out of work for over a year now. I am now finally getting called in for some promising interviews.
In fact, today I am going back for a second interview with a prospective employer. I hope it pans out — with either this company or the other companies who I have interviewed with.
I will pray for each and every one of you to find gainful employment. Thank God for this “spiritual support group.”

I have been out of work in my field for eight years. I realize that has been a very long time but I feel like I need to because I lost my faith. Even though I have not worked and have been blessed with a wonderful family and I have work in the name of the Lord. For the past three years I have taken care of my grandmother that has been in and out of the hospital when the rest of my family couldn’t do it. My sister would go out of town for work months and months at a time and I would watch and take care of my niece. I have learned that even though I have not had a paying job for years I was working, in the way God wanted me too. It took me a long time to realize God had not forgotten me and I am so grateful. My faith is renewed and my spirits are high. So I pray for the job god has in-store for me. Where I get to use the gifts that God blesses me with. I also pray for everyone that has lost or looking for a job that their faith not be shaken and their hope renewed because I believe it will beginning for greater and better things.
Sometimes threw great stress comes release if we take time to believe.

Please pray for me to get a permanent job in a pharmaceutical company where I’d be content & happy. I’ve been looking for a permanent job for nearly one year now. I’m losing my faith in him as it seems that he doesn’t want to answer my prayers. I feel that I’m being punished & I don’t know why. I used to go to church every Sunday but now I regret to say I’m losing my faith… I’d like to reconnect with God again, please pray for me. Pray for me that God grant my wishes esp to give me a permanent full- time job at this particular company as soon as possible as my contract might end soon. Thank you very much.

I humbly ask for your prayers that I find a job soon. I’ve been unemployed for over a year, and I also don’t have a college degree, nor a specialized skill set.
For the first time in a year, the exact job I’ve been looking for has now opened up. I applied a month ago, but I have not heard back. They are reviewing resumes, and I need God’s help so that mine will be considered despite inevitable competition.
God has blessed me with special graces recently, and I have returned to Him with full commitment for the first time in over 10 years. Yet, I feel my faith struggling slightly from the torment of my prolonged unemployment.
Should I get this job, countless opportunities will unfold in my life, such as marriage, family, and buying a home. Without work, my future remains empty. Please pray for me that I may quickly begin exploring the path the Lord has planned for me.

Dear Lord, i do have the ability to work all i want is the opportunity to work and save my house from foreclosure. after i was laid off from work my dad became Ill i was glad i could be there with him, but i compromised my job search and have fallen behind on my mortgage. i have faith in you but as a single mother i struggled so much that I’m getting tired of not making I’m thankful for my children but i also want them to have a home to come to. please help me.

Brothers & sisters in Christ, Please pray for me get a good job as soon as possible as I am desperately seeking employment.
Since I returned from the Gulf in April 2005, I am without a job. I have been praying to the Lord every day and waiting upon him to hear my cry & tears longing to find employment.
I believe & trust that God will answer my humble prayers in his own time. This time has really enabled me to get closer to him in many ways. Please do pray for me not to loose my faith & trust in God. Thank you all in Jesus’ name.

I’m losing hope. Please help me pray that I may find a job. My sister already gave up in helping the family. Now being the second eldest, I am in charge of taking care of the family. Though my father have a job, it is not enough to support us. Please help me pray. Pray for my sister who abandon our parents, and pray that I may find a job, and for the Lord to strenghten me. I am so worried. Im crying almost every night. Always interviewed but never getting the job. Im losing hope, Lord.

I am a teacher waiting to hear from a principal I interviewed with yesterday. I have been told that he will call me today and that I am in the top 3 applicants he is considering. Please pray for me that if I am not selected that I will not become depressed. I want this job so badly. I hope the Lord blesses me.
