The Joyful Mysteries are prayed on Mondays and Saturdays, and during Advent and Christmas Season.
After reciting each mystery, say 1 ‘Our Father’ and 10 ‘Hail Mary’, followed my ‘Glory be’ and Fatima Prayer.

1. The Annunciation
Let us contemplate in this mystery how the Angel Gabriel saluted our Blessed Lady with the title “Full of Grace” and declared to her the incarnation of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Hail Mary, full of grace, your cooperation with God was so perfect and complete. Obtain for us Mother Mary, the strength to always say “Yes” to the plan of God.
2. The Visitation
Let us contemplate in this mystery how the Blessed Virgin Mary understanding from the Angel that her cousin, Elizabeth had conceived, went in haste to the mountains of Judea to visit her and remained with her for three months.
Oh! Mother full of grace, when you greeted Elizabeth, she and the infant in her womb were filled with the Holy Spirit. Give us the blessing to be empowered with the Holy Spirit.
3. The Nativity (Birth of Jesus)
Let us contemplate in this mystery how the Blessed Virgin Mary, when the time of her delivery had come, brought forth our Redeemer, Jesus Christ, at midnight and laid him in a manger because there was no room for him in the inn at Bethlehem.
Mother Mary, pray for me that I will never prefer anyone or anything to Jesus. Help me to be humble and accept God’s will in my life.
4. The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple
Let us contemplate in this mystery how the Blessed Virgin Mary, on the day of her purification, presented baby Jesus in the temple, where Holy Simeon giving thanks to God received him into his arms and the prophetess Anna proclaimed him Saviour of the whole world.
Mother Mary, present us and our dear ones to our Heavenly Father, so that we too may live to glorify our God.
5. The Finding of Jesus in the Temple
Let us contemplate in this mystery how the Blessed Virgin Mary and Joseph having lost their beloved Son Jesus in Jerusalem, sought him for three days, and at last, to their great joy found him in the temple sitting in the midst of the doctors, hearing and asking them questions at the age of twelve years.
Mother Mary, pray for us, that we become alert to Christ’s presence in our lives and if at all we lose him, we may seek him and possess him forever.
